Music studio helps students reach high notes
Year 10 Music students were excited to return to school with a whole new computer lab and recording studio.
Students created their own Blues and Jazz compositions and loved using the new technology and Apple Mac computers to compose and create the work. Plus there is a permanent contemporary band set up so students can jump straight into jamming and recording without setting up instruments and vocals each time.
“I love the freedom we have to create a music piece. The new music lab helps us express ourselves,” said Year 10 student, Matthew.
Mr Cameron Singh, Music teacher said, “Previously students recorded music on their phones which led to inconsistent quality and unclear sounds. Now they can plug all their equipment into the Mac and recording devices. It’s opened up so many more opportunities for them to be creative.”
